Tjoho! We have a new member in the Casiokids family! His name is André and he will be our booking agent from now on. He is very nice so remember to be nice with him in return! By the way... The new album is now 100% finished thanks to master phantom John Hegre from Kaptein Kaliber! We are currently looking for a record company + booking gigs for the summer. Both the band and the shadow puppet group are working on new material these days to make a live show that will be something quite close to perfection! Frightening rumours have leaked out about reggae beats and greek super mario mythology.
Can't wait to see those shadow puppets in bermuda shorts and sunglasses.*******
Sunday 22.01.06
Excerpts from the new album has been added to the sounds department. Check it out here!
Saturday 21.01.06
The Casiokids
crew has nothing better to do on a saturday night than staying home burning CD-Rs! The album is 99% finished and therefore we are starting on the long journey toward finding a nice record company to release it. Well, hopefully it will not take too long. "can't thou see thee gold in thy hands?" Hmm. That COULD be something from a theatre play from the 19th century, but, well maybe not. Perhaps it's from a shadow puppet play in the 21st century? God knows.
Thursday 05.01.06
Holy maloney! 2006 is going to be "the year of the Casio". First of all we are looking forward to finish up the recording for our debut album "fuck midi!", secondly we are eager to start playing live again. Our first excursion will be to the capital of Norway: a decent place called Oslo, in a decent club called Mono. Hopefully we'll also come back to France this summer! à bientot!

Just wanted to say that we had an amazing time at the Numusic Festival in Stavanger last weekend! Special thanks to Martyn Reed for letting us play.Check out the article (in Norwegian) from this weeks STUDVEST here . soundgenerator.com also gave us a nice little comment on their internetpage:
" Local outfit Casiokids charmed and engaged listeners with earnest, simple and effective beats-vibes-and-guitar structures over kiddies' TV scores, backed by a shadow puppet screen that echoed the artists' lyrics with naive, slapstick literalism. Simple but effective, in fact so much so that able men of Irritant and Seed label stock played for audiences of two or three next door, numbers gaining briefly during intervals between the main stage acts."
Monday 15.08.05
Casiokids and the shadow puppet group Figuraturus are confirmed for the extremely decent festival Numusic in Stavanger, and will play alongside names such as Karlheinz Stockhausen(!) and Jamie Lidell amongst others. Check out their website here.
